DeRailed 2011

"It is the present day and Australian Media Tycoon, Andrew Aganew, has decided that as a devote Agatha Christie fan, it is his divine calling to create an 80’s based serial adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express. From the offset, the adaption is destined to become ‘Derailed’ as Mr. Aganew (or Double A as he prefers to be called) reinstates an old friend back into the entertainment world. This friend is three time Olivier Award winning Actor; Kensington Smythe. It is Kensington’s duty, under the guidance of another of Double A’s
appointments - director Blake Trenchwood, “To instil life into what is essentially a dead duck.”

Under the watchful eye of award winning journalist, Joanna McIntyre from The Daily Day, the events that unfold on the set of Murder on the Metro subsequently make for interesting viewing. During her time with the cast and crew, she not only lives and breathes the industry for which she is now exposed to, but also experiences how fate may indeed exist on many levels. Furthermore, when there is a sudden death amongst the team, how will she and everyone else cope with this latest setback?

So, will you dare to hop aboard The Train with Inspector Poirot? Will you put money against accusations that Blake is “...verging on becoming Dorothy’s best friend...” and will Kensington re-discover the happiness he though he had once lost?

This journey is about to become a little; De-Railed."
